I think Mazda designed the system for longeveity and to be hassle free. I don't think they designed it with max HP in mind though. But then again how many 3-400+ 13B's are running around that still use the OMP? I'd say alot. Most of the failures that I'm hearing about are becuase of tuning issues and not seal failures caused by the OMP. That being said.

You need to inject .78% of the amount of fuel that is being injected to attain 128:1 mix. Not to mention that you need to generate alot of pressure to atomize it finely enough I'd imagine & I'd think that the oil would want to fall to the walls of the runners MUCH faster than the fuel. Regardless I'm running 750/1000 so I would need to find me some 15cc/min injectors, and a pump, and some lines, & I'd have to weld bungs into the runners on the intake, and make more lines and - that's what I would do. For me though, it's 2stroke + OMP adapter + super duper sexy tank

Yeah, those are the major obstacles I see, too. Plus, one should do some serious testing to make sure this would actually work and how easily it fails to perform exactly as needed.

I'm going to use a Rotary Atkins OMP adapter, it's in my garage, I'm just waiting until I swap in my rebuild so I can install the new lines and such more easily.

This is a repost of the link, but to humor you:
http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_in...p_adaptors.htm

It looks like a well built piece and I haven't heard anything bad about them. I know I could modify the stock unit, but figured I would rely on someone else's tested product for this particular project.

It's been a while but I thought I post my final solution of locating the oil premix reservior in my FD.
Notably I used a 2 stroke oil premix reservior from a small dirtbike (it won't disintegrate after 6 months like coolant overflow tanks will) I found it on eBay for $15, and with my very own custom made mounting bracket I still managed to locate it the recommended 6 inches above the OMP adapter with the shortest tubing run possible. It doesn't have a level sensor but it's a 1.5qt. capacity tank so I'm not worried. The hose off the top is just the vent line. And the tank reservior cap even says "oil" on it.
This the result of weeks of fiddling, noodling, futzing with various shapes and sizes, and months daydreaming about mounting a stupid oil tank!
FWIW,
Crispy

Sorry to post so late, but I beat you guys to the punch. Here is my special lubrication system.

1)no pump needed
2)no lines needed
3)made of special spaceage plastic (my buddies from pittsburg taiwan gots da hookup

Ive got a special degree from the University of Colorado BLVD
Its called the ASE A1 2 stroke atomization process for rotary engine, with a minor in cyl engine rebuilding!

Sorry, I patend it already. But here is another look

ROFL, sorry guys, with all this seriousness and debating I wanted to join to sound smart. I think this debate needs to be done at King Aurthurs rotary shaped table. I represent Taiwan. I'll throw my chair at you!

Sorry to clown, you guys definateley know your stuff.
