You can run pre-mix and your MOP. You just want to run a leaner ratio of pre-mix. So run a 1:2 ratio instead of 1:1 ratio. I run pre-mix and my MOP but on track days I put a little bit more in than the 1:2 ratio.

If your still running the OMP.... I wouldn't dump more than 1-2 ounce / 10 gallons in there... my buddy runs a third gen with no injections and he's runnin 1 oz per gallon.

I've been thinking about doin the premix thing, but the info is so damn sketchy on whats the right mix after you eliminate your OMP and his motor has had some "suspicious" apex seal pukings!!

You are correct . Damn if it was 1 Gal : 1 Gal. It would cost me $100 to fill my tank

wow that was quick. thanks for the answers so far and heres another question. would it be better for the engine to run the omp with pre-mix or just pre-mix?

I have no problem with only pre-mix. But others will argue with that. Either way both work. Pre-mix usually results in better teardown from what I hear. Otherwise its up to you.

but you can run the omp with a weak premix, right? in theory this seems like the best thing to go as you get the good thing from them both (I might be thinking about this to hard. I tend to do that)

hehe....my OMP died...and would run my car in limp mode....so i decided to premix. too bad the electric OMP would still throw the car in limp mode. so what did i do? i got a used OMP, zip tied it to my strut brace in my engine bay, and then plugged it in. running premix now . i want to look into seeing if i can run a resistor pack of some type to the hookup so i can get that OMP out of there completely. S4's have mechanical OMP's btw, so you can get away with removing them completely.

You can run both the MOp and a reduced amount of pre-mix yes.

But In my oppinion there isn't much "good" from the MOP other than convenience for the main stream driver.

i realy need to know, i know it doesnt sound like a good idea but seems like it would work in theory, is there anything that would not be lubricated enough by doing this?

Why not just change the oil so you get the water out? Just makes sense.
