Powersteering conversion from manual on a Turbo II

Hey all, just looking for some input. I want to do a manual—> power steering conversion on my turbo II (cuz I’m old and for drifting, yes I’ll probably keep the manual rack on the shelf, yes I too agree that manual feel in driving is nicer)

Seems like there are two options, powersteering rack conversion and use of a electric-hydraulic pump (mr2 seems most popular) or epowersteering.com type conversion. Seems like the 1st option may be cheaper (when I priced it out for my location and use of a rebuilt rack ~ $750 total for the swap) vs option 2 is ~$1500 (shipping kills)

has anyone done the epowersteering.com conversion or made one themselves? Or any other recommendations on electric-hydraulic pumps besides MR2? Or any feedback on comparing the two?

My buddy had a mr2 setup on his fc and he loved it. Long story short, I saw the setup and it was really simple and extremely effective.

really nice to be able to turn the wheels with the engine off to move the car around.

Pump was mounted where the ac compressor goes, and it doesn’t take up too much space.
