Vibrant Exhaust

Curious to see if anyone has tried a vibrant exhaust on the rotary. I love their sound on a traditional engine and wondering if that crosses over to the rotary.

I think Aaron Cake Aaron's Homepage (aaroncake.net) used something of theirs though I think it may have been a resonator. I can't remember what project it was on.

I have had two Vibrant 2.5" dual tip "DTM" style mufflers (no longer made) on my FC for 21 years. Back when the car as NA, those mufflers and a Bonez downpipe/cat (with resonator) was a bit loud for my tastes.

The current configuration of the car, as has been since 2008 is a 3" bottle resonator ( I think this one: https://vibrantperformance.com/catal...d7c3311b7378d3 ) followed by a 3" Ultra Quite resonator ( https://vibrantperformance.com/catal...d7c3311b7378d3 ) before the Y pipe, followed by the Y pipe with the same DTM style dual tip mufflers.

Cruising along at 2K RPM it is quiet and pleasant.

Get on the throttle when the wastegate opens you get the raspiness added to the note (recirculated wastegate) and an increase in volume appropriate to the situation. I often receive compliments that it is the best exhaust people have ever heard and very few complaints about the noise.

Here' some pictures of the exhaust:

Note this is a bridgeported turbo (GT4088R) car. Your mileage may vary.

I would actually like to use their TPV style mufflers as I'd like a dual N1 style setup but I'm pretty sure since I'm n/a with a header/ pre-silencer it'll be too loud for my tastes without adding some additional resonators. I'll probably just wait until I finally go turbo before I switch to different mufflers since I could probably get away with using them and a setup similar to Aaron's then.
