Power vs manual windows weight savings?

So Im eventually going to be ordering those half aluminum door panels from LRB, mostly just to remove the giant door pocket, sagging leather, and stained carpet, and to gain some leg room

Im fairly certain that if I wanted to, I could swap my power window setup for a manual window setup at virtually no cost to me. Power windows suck anyways.

Im just curious if there would be any weight savings switching from one to the other? I have to imagine the motor isn't the lightest thing in the world, but it could be...

I did the straight power to manuak swap 2001? and documented weight savings on here.

From what I remember the manual window weight savings were from the lighter base model interior door panels as well as a bit from ditching the motor and wire harness for the crank mechanism.

So, weight savings- yes. How much. Couple pounds. Nice if you are down to the pound here, pound there phase.

Don't know how much manual window regulators weigh, but apparently driver and passenger window motors weigh 6.2 lbs (https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...eights-966984/). I bought replacement window motors once before...they're tiny motors. I didn't think they weighed that much.

Off topic, but since I'm not too worried about weight saving, I would have loved to have power windows on my latest FC. I feel like a cave man manually rolling my windows down when pulling up to a drive-through. I don't think those few pounds would make any substantial difference anyway. I always tell friends, the best way to get weight reduction on your ride is to diet.
