power steering and other questions

im almost done with my motor, and im gettin pissed at my power steering, it keeps leaking. im wanting to know if a washer is supposed to go there (the pic) or nothing, it looks like there is supposed to be one, but wheni put one on and try to put the power steerin unit back on it still leaks at that spot.

?

and if i get too pissed off and it still keeps leakin, i might drive it up to a shop and let them mess with it, would it damage anything if there is no fluid in the power steering unit?

and can anyone send me a detailed picture of how the starter is hooked up, i tried starting my car las night ( 4 am actually) and there was a big spark there, after i saw that i didnt even try to crank it over any more. is there something im missing, or what

not that i am aware of, i was goin to try and put silicone sealer on it, but its not stayin, on, i think because the power steering fluid oil is on it, and its not sticking.

is it ok to drive without the fluid in there?

and does anyone have a picture of their starter on the car, i wanna make sure all the wires that need to be on there are.

It would be better if you just took the PS belt off all together if you were to drive it. If you drive with no fluid, but the pump still turning, it will probably burn up the pump. And sorry but I dont know if there is supposed to be an o-ring there or not. It looks like there is already something sticking up, that the pipe that bolts there goes over?

thats what i was thinking, ill just take off the belt, and drive to a local shop and have them mess with it.

anyone know about my starter question? would it cause a spark if theres no gear oil in there? or would it be cause its not grounded?
