power steering
i have a 1986 Mazda rx7 gtx (turbo) ive heard all u have to do (for the power steering) is take of all the hoses unit etc and take belt off. then u connect the top and the bottom house connecters on the rack and block the middle one. u also leave a bit of oil in there. is this correct is it very hard to do?? also is the steering very heavy does it make it harder to drive in town etc??? or is it just noticable at slow speed. ps i drive a laser with 205's and no power steerin would it be like that???
thanx karl

Getting into a parking space can be a challenge, but turning and driving down the road feels GREAT. Much more in tune with the road. Plus, it makes changing spark plugs MUCH easier w/o that goofy thing in the way!! Hell, while you're in there, just pull the a/c as well!!! You stay plenty cool w/ the windows down at 100mph!

Does anyne know if there is a rebuild kit (seals and what not) for power steering racks? Mine is leaking on the passenger side but I dont want to block it all off for manual steering, nor do I want to replace the entirea rack.

I was having a problem with breaking my A/C and PS belts for a while. Driving at speed it wasn't too bad, the feedback was amazing, but at lower speeds it was too much to handle with my tiny little Momo steering wheel.
Perhaps it wouldn't have been too bad with a stock steering wheel, but with my scrawny little arms I need my power steering.
