Couldnt get mine done because I could not find the appropriate grinder. Finally found one and they wanted like 35-40bux so I said screw it and took it to a shop. He is doing all of the grinding, welding (got a 3mm thick about 35mm in diamtere steel rod piece for free), and what not.
No big rush for me, should have the car back on the road this weekend....just need an alternative to crimp clamps for my omp lines... I wasnt sure how big to make the port since I read so many different sizes all over the place, so I am having him port to 25-30mm

I think that a new flapper door would be key. That way you can get a real healthy wastegate.
You can do it w/ the stock flapper door, just not as much.
Also the angles and whatnot of the pathway help a lot. Try to look at it and figure out how it would flow better. Theres a bit that can be improved on
As for my turbo, I sent it to someone who has done this before and can weld also. Had a 38mm tial external wastegate put on
turblown.net my buddy elliot did all the work on my turbo

And as far as what I say about the flapper door, I really dont know what I'm talking about, just thinking bigger=better when it comes to wastegates cause boost creep is a bitch
