OK...I just ported my 88 SE and I put it back together and now when i start it up it does the warm up thing (idols at 3k until i tap the gas) but then WON'T IDOL at all. It drop down to about 1k , stutters, then shuts off. Now what should I do??

Its not that tube. Im very fustrated. What do you mean all throttle linkages, where are they? Any other vaccume tubes that might be causing it?

What kind of porting does it have, and did you reset the timing and idle after the port job?

How do i reset the timing and idle? I found that when I spray 2+2 on the seal between the upper and lower intake manifolds it runs better so i think the seal I made is leaking. Im going to check on my next day off. Fun. If thats not it I think it may be this sensor that is screwed into the drivers side of the chamber behind the throttle. I think mabe I twisted the wires too much when I took it off. What is it and do you think that could do it if it's broke?
