POP UPS, 1 up 1 down

Trouble with the pop ups

OK here goes, Left the car over night and the passenger head light doesn't go down.
I know what it isn't:

Both switches (lights and hold up) work fine, beacuse they opperate the working light in the desired mannor.

The motors both work, I can manually wind down the faulty light then flick on the lights and it comes up. But stays up.

Can anyone help

Make sure nothing is binding, give the hinges some lube.

Dont think lube is the answer, used WD40 to drive out any mousiture and free up any sezied components. The problem still persists.

As mentioned before i can get the pop-ups to move both up and down, but left hand one always goes back to the up positon. Ie if i adjust the light manually just past the up position it will spring into life go down and stright back up and come to rest in up position. reguardless of what it should be doing.

It's very strange

sounds like you have a loose wire on your motor or harness

Sounds like a dead spot in the motor, this will happen to window motors that sit for a long time as well.

Ditto on the motor, however...

Another thing to try would be play with the adjustment ***** on the bottom of the lights.. Mine rattled loose or something.. and I played with them a little (not really sure what I did).. and after I did, my lights worked fine. Did you try kicking it?
