I shift at redline often, but don't go over by more than 100 RPM. I find my S4 N/A loses all power at that point. The only times I've gone way over is when I was roasting the wheels in first and not paying attention to the tach because I was too concentrated on where the rear end is going (BTW my buzzer is disconnected).

lucky, yours is probably broken, rev limit on S4 is 7600rpm, you can rev past while in neutral, but in gear it wont go past the rev limit if it works
