polishing up the T04R
LOL Well I cleaned off one spot and now I am going to ended up polishings the compressor housing.

Started off with 60 grit to grind down the letters. Now going hit 150, 320, 600, 1000, 1500, 2000

Here's a bit of advice...
Pick the most inaccessible, hardest to reach spot and start there.
Then move to the easy sections and bring them to the same level of finish.
Overall a part (any part) looks better and more professionally done with a consistent finish- even if it's not totally shiny- rather than having highlights and then areas where it obvious you couldn't get into.

A Dremel doesn't have the guts to do a good job.
You'd need a heavier duty air tool and a variety of bits (lots of cones I'd guess, looking at the housing)...essentially a very similar setup to what portwork would require.
And I hate Dremels, so there's that.

yes I have polished intercoolers and pipes before. I just have not polished anything thing with small small hard to reach areas. I have never used a die grinder with stones before to sand down the parts. Once I get the hang of it I wanna polish up some rotor housesings and a front cover
normally I start out with around 80 ~ 120 grit depending how the surface is and if there is anything I need to sand down. like a seam from the casting. I used 60 grit on this to get the letters and casting marks down fast.
then I goto
150
240
320
400
600 wet
800 wet
1000 wet
1500 wet
2000 wet
After that I use white rouge on a polishing wheel
then Mothers Blue put on by hand and polished off with wheel Let me see if I can dig up some of my pics
