The coils are marked with the letters and numbers, and the motor is actualy maked as well, but only for the letters.

I was under the impression that it did not matter where the wires went, so long as T went to T and L went to L. I still hook mine up the right way, I am just wondering....

All four plugs ignite at separate times, so it's very important to have them all hooked up properly.

The leadings ignite twice compared to the trailing.

leading plugs are on the bottom. trailings on the top.

#1 is closest to the front bumper, #2 is on the firewall side of the motor.

Leading doesn't matter. Same coil fires both plugs. As long as both "L" wires go to lower plugs, you are ok. Trailing matters, the trailing plugs fire at different times (2 seperate coils).
