Pitted windshield fix?

Anyone know of a fix for a pitted windshield...aside from replacing it?

If they are actual pits and not small cracks you will need to replace the windsheild.

If they are small cracks you can fix those with a windsheild repair kit from Napa Auto parts.

I have the same problem....it's just old with alot of miles on it. Very annoying when the sun is at the right angle it's difficult to see. I too would like to know if there is a way of polishing the glass.

Same here, but my problem is on my hatch glass. It is tinted and the pits make it look even worse at the right angle. I have 2 other hatches but need the tint for security so no sees the woofer

I had mine replaced under the insurance

It was bad at night, actually dangerous! Now when clean, you can hardly see it when looking out.

I had to pay the comprehensive deductable ($150), the total cost was nearly $750 installed...

Try a search in Google with 'glass polishing' it turned up a number of inexpensive kits...

What's your guys opinion on how the car looks with tint?

Tint or no tint?

You must use tint if you have a coupe. It protects the interior and makes the car much nicer looking. I generally prefer about a 45, rather than a Limo, so you can still see out at night.
