aluminum exhaust straight off the turbo on a honda that sees track use. I'm sure these exhaust systems see some extreme heat with a turbo that big, but the rotary is hotter i know.

i didnt read all the stuff in that link, but i skimmed at checked out most of the pics. it seemed that everyone of the hondas that had aluminum exhaust were full drag cars only. wich usually dont spend more than 2-3 minutes running at one time. not letting the metal fully conduct the heat.

one thing i know is that aluminum is weldable around 1220°F. wich is about 500°F below regular exhuast temps for rotarys. Not good...

have you ever seen thick steel headers glow red hot? imagine if that were aluminum.

after a drifiting session in my fc....the true dual RB headers was glowing red cherry hot...

First one is a RB True dual headers and presilencer to custom y-pipe, and pair of ultra flow welded ss mufflers
Hear here also
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAe431l-WzM

second one I replaced the ultra flow ss and the y-pipe with a RB true dual y-pipe and the mufflers (shown in pics)with extension tubes

Third one is of my turbo, its a Imotoria exhaust. Korean made and very very loud....even with presilencer in. Without a presilencer, it will blow your eardrums. I thought nothing can be louder then a corksport exhaust...but I was wrong lol. A few forum members also have it. So I got tired of the noise and bought a RB REV TII system from a forum member. Just installed it on friday, havent taken any pics yet because I went to the track on Saturday and my clutch blew out.....but it is a sweet sounding sound.

all i see is some pics of hondas, one with a turbo that has never even been started up yet.

aluminum melts at 1350*F, which is just where a turbo rotary starts to warm up and cruise on the freeway temp wise. the exhaust would be ok after the mid section of the car but i don't know of any aluminum that can withstand the heat right off the snail in a rotary engine environment. as many have said, this is a rotary, not a honda.

He's just poking fun because it's different. Google search reveals that the melting point of Aluminum is just over 1200* Fahrenheit, so for a rotary... eek. If it were an alloy with a much higher melting point, maybe I could be swayed.

Screwing around in the snow = Drifting???

obviously, good english...
I was cheering for you since I like your exhaust, but that's a super weak responce! You try to type that same reply in his language... I could finish this post with either of these replies:

- ******* Yank!
- That's why the world hates Americans!
- etc.

But I won't... Although I kinda did, HaHa!

I LOVE this exhaust. its a custom down pipe to a Unknown Y pipe with pre silencers then to dual TRUST stainless cans. its a very quiet setup untill you get on the car. nice low sound. I am going to drop it to clean and paint the Y pipe. then i will take more pics to see if anyone recognizes what model it is.

plus it's gaudy.

i could care less if people put them on their hondas but don't put that **** on a 7, it makes us all look bad... almost as bad as that bumper 2 replies ^

Dont take egt at exhaust manifold, it is not same at rear muffler ( is not 1600-1800f at rear, at rear is 300 - 600 f )... I make this exhaust, i will test this exhaust and when it melts then i will say it is not good for rotary engine...... .... or i will make other one

My Drifter FC has an aluminum exhaust system....i own a muffler shop and been using nothing but aluminum exhaust on my race cars.Drag,Drift and road racing. They dont melt like what you think, the only problem is to join the exhaust with metal.I have develop V band flanges to mate steel and aluminum in different sizes.

I went from...

1- stock exhaust manifold, glasspack, stock Y, stock mufflers, ricer tips. You can see why this had to go...

2- Pacesetter header, test pipe, Apex'i N1. The ricer guys thought I was their buddy, so that went...

3- Pacesetter header, gutted stock main cat, stock Y, Mazdaspeed mufflers.

And that ****'s still loud as hell. I'm going to try to replace the cat with another good muffler to see if that won't quieten it down a bit, since I won't be needing the cat for the 5/6 ports after the work I'm starting on soon...
