Passenger wiper problem

I noticed my passenger side wiper dropped below the windshield when they are off. So of course I pulled up on it a bit. Not much of a change. Later that day I was driving in the rain and gradually the passenger side wiper stopped going all the way up. then it stopped completely. It stutters a bit while the driver side moves perfectly (in all speeds thank god). I believe I have given it a bad case of epilepsy.

I lifted the hood and of course no access there. How do I get to the insides of the wiper to try and fix?

First thing to check is the nut that holds the wiper arm to the linkage.

My guess is also a loose nut.

If push comes to shove, you can always install a little dab of JB weld on the little wiper nub and then reinstall the wiper. (Make sure it is in the right place relative to the drivers wiper, you only get one shot with the JB weld.)

That seems like a pretty drastic "fix".
If the splined drive shaft is rounded off it'd be a lot better to replace it than to permanently glue the wiper arm on.
Gotta think of the future here...

Mine was stripped on one side, so i removed the nut and arm and put a lil piece of tie strap i cut off against the stripped splines then wedge arm on then tightened it, works perfect now.

I need to replace the arm. Does anyone know what other vehicles use the same size arm as a 91 vert? I might even go a bit smaller since the blade always seemed to go a bit to far down onto the metal.

? a 91 vert. if you have a 91 vert, you need a 91 vert arm. (or i would imagine any FC, but who knows) what do you mean that the blade went to far down on the metal? just replace the wiper then. get something an inch or 2 smaller.

I hate to be mean to helpful replies, but no **** a 91 vert takes a 91 vert wiper arm. I believe most of the parts on my car can be replaced with parts designed for the car. The question was: are there any other vehicles that the arm matches. As in, any vehicles currently in production that have less expensive alternatives?

The wiper blades are brand new. When I state they go too far down onto the metal references the fact that the blade is so long it goes past the glass and rests below the windshield. The rest of the blade stops where it should.

Thats how the arm got stripped in the first place. I stupidly tried to "adjust" it by pulling a bit and the end result is my need for a new arm.
