Transfering front cover from s4 tii to 13b-re

Hi,

I'm doing a 13b-re swap right now.
Got a quick question,

Anybody have any tips when transferring the front cover from a S4 TII motor to a 13b-re?

I read on the mazdatrix website about the o-ring and gasket as well as the front bearing. But I'm still not all that clear about it.

Thank you,
Jonathan

I don't know what year your 13B-RE is but if I remember correctly, the turbo front cover has a connector for the turbo oil line to drain back into the pan. You'd have to plug this to use the cover on a non-turbo engine.

Also, read the info on the page linked below.

The 13b-re front cover is identical to the s5 tii, you just follow the same procedure for doing that swap. Make sure the clutch is depressed the whole time or make sure the motor is on the flywheel if out of the car.
