Paraplegic needs help with S5 auto trans.
Hey my fellow rotorheads, as a paraplegic ♿️👨🦽 I’m proud of myself for swapping out the auto transmission all by myself. It was long and hard but I got it done.
Before anyone say anything about swapping it to a manual, I would love too but Im a paraplegic and i won’t be able to drive stick shift. Maybe one day I will hit the lottery and Can have a custom 5 speed fc but for now I’m stuck with the automatic.
Now that the transmission is in and all fluids are in, i take it for a test drive and the transmission is slipping. It would rev up in first and I would have to let loose of the gas for it to go into the next gear but any hard gas it would go back into first and I would let go of gas for it to go into second again. It shift into all gears if I baby the gas.
things I’ve check
1. The vacuum line that goes to the vacuum modulator. ( took the hose that connects to the modulator off and it’s seems to have vacuum and it seems to be sucking pretty well ).
2. Checked fluids and it seems to be topped off.
If anyone can give me some tips to maybe help solve this situation that would be great. Hopefully the transmission isn’t bad and it’s just something simple.
