MS engine rebuild using fd rotors

i am building my first rotary and a friend gave me some fd rotors and a front counter weight
my question is concerning setting the end play. right now i have no end play. so no movement at all
i am using the B front spacer (fd spacer)
so they only have one spacer smaller and its only .02 smaller. seems like i would need something much smaller.
you can see in the pic how much the pully is proud of the crank.
what am i doing wrong? am i thinking about this correct? if i need movement then i need the crank to be .002 proud of the pully correct? rather than the pully being higher as it is now

Bigger spacer = more end play, not the other way around.

IIRC you've got to have the bolt on the pulley and torqued to spec before you can measure end play. You also need everything that goes on the E-shaft behind the pulley in place as well.
