Cool Oxygen Injection!

Yes yes, you can all bow down to me now. I have aquired a 10lb tank of 99.9999999% oxygen. I have the all the required hoses, injection mechanisms etc, all I need is a fuel computer to dump huge amounts of fuel in, bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump. Nos? What is that? Hah!

Hehe, oxygen argument?

I would assume higher engine temps, but I plan on injecting an very cold inert gas to cool 'er off.

That's the point of Nitrous, it comes out cold, and it's 33% oxygen, so I wouldn't bother with O2, but that's just my opinion.

Mixing an inert gas in there would displace the oxygen, which wouldn't help your cause.

I know what adding an inert gas will do. I also know that No2 is cold, o2 is at higher compression, it is colder. 1800psi. And your opinion is crappy, why settle with 33%? Bah.

If you're going to be a jackass when people are trying to give you info, then why even post here?

what gas do you plan on using to make the intake temps cooler?

Use helium injection. Not ony will it cool intake temps, but it will make a huge weight savings as well...

Yeah that makes sense, I'll do He injection with my airpump! It is 4degrees K in the liquid stage though. A final question to the people posting about intake temps, why would I need to cool the intake charge, its cold enough with liquid 02 in the bottle.

You should get one of those red diamond signs u see on the side of a 18 wheeler or other truck to indicate your car has highly compressed highly explosive container being transported around.

Once again people, IF THIS WAS BETTER IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE LONG AGO!! There is a reason why N02( not NOS) is the best thing for instant hp. Same goes for airpump superchargers and other outlandish ideas. Dont get me wrong im not trying to be an *** just trying to help you guys out.

purre oxygen is extremely volitile, i'm picking you'll blow your manifold or something else to bits before to start making more HP

Pure oxygen injection has been tried.

It results in the engine pouring itself out the exhaust pipe!

Pure oxygen is just TOO MUCH. Nitrous oxide was eventually used with good success because after the nitrogen breaks free in the combustion chamber, it acts as a buffer and prevents the burn from being too hot/too fast.

You can try it, just make sure to get it on video because you won't do it more than once

OOH!!! Better yet.. use hydrogen injection!!

oh.. wait.. heh

So, this was posted on the 11th.. he'll get something hooked up on maybe, oh the 25th of this month, and he'll come back on July 28th with a post saying "my engine melted" or something.

Sorry dude, it just sounds like a whole ball of worms that I don't want to get involved in. I don't touch Nitrous, my theory is "bottles are for babies" but that's just my opinion.

Someone obviously skipped Chem 101 and went to huff spray paint instead. Some people just make me want to give up on humanity and put my head in a stove.

Get yourself a bottle of liquid hydrogen too. Inject both into the exhaust system (your cats are off, right), throw some flames, you've got a rocket car. Same principal as the space shuttle. In fact, if you're going up a steep enough hill, you may just be able to reach escape velocity and fly to the moon. Just be sure to roll the windows up first.
