have you changed the temp sensor or inspected it for proper opperation? Is the radiator clean and not clogged? or maybe part of your other electrical problems when the temp gauge says it hot is the eng. hot?

Did this all start when they first messed with the wiring?

If the heat gauge is reading hot but the car is bone cold and you don't see coolant spewing from the overflow tank (ie an engine coolant seal is blown and compressed air from the engine block leaking into the coolant system & boiling/blowing water out of the overflow tank)... then I'd supect a wiring harness short.

Does the clutch fan kick on when you start the card cold? When starting cold you should hear the fan spin up and slowly spin down.

the cd player thing might be because the ground is hooked up to the red/black wire... the head unit should be grounded to the chassis... this problem is covered in the FAQs.

Your gauge problem is probably electrical justy like your other problems. Check the coolant temp with a real thermometer if you suspect overheating, but I'm doubtful that the gauge is accurate. Go search and find how to properly install the stereo and see if all the problems go away.

Go after that crooks who stole your money and fucked up your car.
It's hard to diagnose things that stupid people did to **** up your car.
Don't expect some miracle answer that will fix your problems; when idiots **** up your car, it can be ANYTHING.

Second, learn proper English, punctuationa and grammer.
I get a headaches trying to read an understand what you're trying to day.
How old are you anyways???

Headlight turns on and cd player cuts off, temp. gauge pins to the top and back down - sounds like electrical problem. Maybe bad grounding since wires melted?
