OMP replacment question S5 Na
Hey guys, I'm just in the process of changing my OMP and have a question.
I decided to keep my old OMP lines as they don't appear to be leaking or cracked to save time on the install. But because of this I couldn't check the one way injection valves that feed into the rotor and now I'm worried that possibly one has failed because 1 original line looks to be filled with oil suggesting that oil is coming back out.
So what is the worst case scenario if it has failed? Should I do it the long way and double check or is it no biggie either way? Could it kill my new OMP?

I'm not too sure what your concern here is, but the lines SHOULD be filled with oil. Unfortunately, most stock lines are so old, they turn a doodoo brown color and make it hard to see the oil flow. Traditionally, people premix for a couple tanks of fuel until the OMP lines have filled with oil.
Its hard to tell if there is oil in them now but I will be premixing for sure. My concern was just that in the Haynes manual I have it says that the injection points should be checked and I didn't do it so I just didn't want to hurt the car.
