Will oil metering pump make car not start or start and cut car off on a s5 na motor.

 

In the troubleshooting section of the FSM, it says that a failing OMP can lead to difficult starts, I don't know about cutting the car off though.... does it do it just randomly or does it cut off when the rpm's drop, like at a stop?

 

If I Have Clutch Pedal In At Coming To Stop Sign It Dies Had It Running Ro About Ten Minutes Then It Die And Wouldn't Start.

 

Yes, if the omp doesn't not work properly, it will put the car on limp mode, on an S5.

 

Hmmm.... but limp mode doesn't shut the car down or prevent you from starting up, I know... I've been limping for a while now (my OMP is out as well on my s5, installing a new one this weekend.) I have the same problem as you do darkman, but maybe not as frequently, only after I run her hard. But occasionally after a hard drive, or a long one the car will start shutting down at stops, and at startup it will be slow to crawl up to 750rpm then stall out. If replacing my OMP fixes this stuff I will let you know. Also test your TPS and AFM.
