omp line questions

hey can you put s5 omp lines on a s4? i know the injectors are the same but what about the lower fittings? and can you just use vac lines and run those instead of the little plastic ones? thanks

Rubber lines will swell up and leak all over the place.

If your lines need replacing, buy some fuel line for small motors at your local hardware store or lawnmower shop.

Cut off the line near each fitting.

Take a butane torch and melt the remaining plastic under the ear clamps on the fittings.

Take a pair of pliers and put the ears of clamp in the pliers and squeeze gently until the opening will accept your new line.

Install the line thru the ear and then clamp the ears on the clamp til the line is tight on the line/fitting.

Reinstall the oil line.

The small engine fuel line will cost you about six dollars total for all the lines. The lines will not leak......if you didn't buy too large a inside diameter line. Measure.

Bottom line: I've no idea if series five lines will mate with the series four.

being that S4 is mech. and S5 is electric, is the OMP itself different, if not i would think the lines should mate.

I like Hailers fix using leaf blower or model airplane fuel line.
