OMP line issues...

Yet another problem I've noticed now. I just bought new OMP lines to replace the two (secondary) lines I broke getting the oil injectors out. The injectors tested okay as far as air movement, etc. But the new, clear lines don't seem to be filling up with oil, at all. I've never had problems with the oil injection, etc... before, so I would *assume* that the OMP should be okay. These are only the secondary injection lines, so does that mean that they don't get used as often? Should I not expect them to function for a while, until I get the car out and thrash it a bit?

Anyway, thanks for the help and info... this is the first time I've totally ripped apart the engine and had a look, and let me tell you, it looked like this car has been through the mechanic from hell (until I was done, of course ). I had to replace, clean, fix, and buy so much new stuff for the poor thing that I am actually looking forward to the day when I can get the money to swap the engine out and do a Turbo II correctly... i.e. myself.

Mine did the same thing but I didn't notice it for a while, also thrashing it didn't make a differenceno oil ever even hit parts of the lines. I just put un OMP block off plate and plugged up the oil injector holes and I am now premixing the fuel

just a suggestion.. " run premix with ur lines hooked up drive it "trash it" or what ever. No harm can be done this way beacuse u have premix running into your engine. Than if ur lines are still empty and clear. well my guess its ur OMP.. and you might want to get a new one or go to Premix. just a thought

Are the secondary injectors important anyway? And how would I know if the primary injectors weren't working also... I didn't touch them.

Idle the engine, and lift up on the metering oil pumps lever. The oil should move. Drive around the block a few times and see it the oil has moved.Either way. If the oil is new, you may not be seeing it very well in the lines.

If that does not work, take one of the banjo bolts loose at the line you replaced. Idle the car and lift on the lever. Oil should flow. Key words. Lift the lever.

Note: the oil moves at a creepy crawly pace. Its not like zap, its there. It moves slowly.
