OMP failure?

I had my brother start my car while I looked at the lines........... no oil
My motor still runs fine except for a 4,000 rpm bog (major one) but i took the lid off my airbox and switched to electric fan as well as advnced the timing. Im thinking i screwed up on timing i hope the omp failure isnt related.

The OMP works on a load basis. So in order for you too see clearly that oil is flowing your brother needs to rev the engine a bit. I would run a little premix just for insurance.

Get the manual from online and measure the output like the book says. Or Just loosen one of the four banjo bolts on the pump and watch it drip. rx7turbo2 is right about the load. The load is determined by that metal rod that runs up to the throttle linkage. Shove up on the rod and the flow is greater. Yeah, loosen the banjo bolts and let it drip on your driveway.

Not really. I'm talking about the ones on the pump. 10mm wrench size. Your hand and arm will fit if you really try and minor discomfort (pain) does not bother you. Or take the underbelly tray (damn plastic thing held with a bunch of 10mm size bolts) off and just reach up.
