OMG... flooding maybe?

well yeah, i just got my 91' rx-7 and it runs great and strong. it has when we test drove it several times. well, two days after having it, it wont start on three occasions. i figured that it would be flooding b/c it smells like it. well the first time, i let it sit over night. i woke up the following morning and it started up fine. well i parked it after i drove it around for a bit, cut it off, and then tried to start it a little later, no luck. it turns over fine and all but not starting.

the second time, i turned it around in the parking space and it didnt start back up. well, i was getting down because i have only had it for 2 days, i did some research about it and got a link to www.rx7.com about the unflooding procedures for an FC. well i went outside and took the EGI plug out of the harness, turned the key, and put the pedal to the floor as it said to do. i then put the plug back in and tried to start it. it didnt work but it said it may take several tries. well a couple i swore it would've started. but still no luck. it has drained my battery almost doing all of this so i just called it a night.

the car runs strong and fine when its on and its just fine. im wondering how long this will continue. when i get it insured, i obviously cant have all of this going on b/c what if i get out to get gas etc. but if you guys have any advice at all... please help me out. im getting really bummed about this. lol. but yeah. any advice and well i guess things i need to get for being prepared. what steps should i take for my little problem. thanks for your time.

Mine did exactly the same thing to me - even left me stranded the first day i owned it.

Low compression and leaky injectors are 2 main causes.

Cleaning (sandblasting) the plugs and letting it sit over night worked for mine. You may need to replace or clean the injectors. It's a pretty common problem - there are several good threads around with different steps you can take.
