Oil from Turbo
Oil from Turbo
Is there an oil line running in the turbo of an 87 TII? The problem is theres oil running from the turbo to the intercooler... and quite a bit. 96k miles. any ideas?... is there a seal that can be rebuilt? or just get a new tII for it? thanks
have you checked you turbo's condition,
Ie:
shat play amount of oil in turbo intake,
amount of front to back (checks thrust barring) of compressor,
if it is too much it would be a good time to have the turbo rebuilt while it most likely can still be salvaged.

Well, there is an oil line running to the turbo. Older turbos tend to start sending excessive oil into the intake area, especially if they are overboosted.
Might be time for a new turbo.
