oil pressure none?!

My oil pressure gauge doesn't budge on start up. Everything seems fine and in working order but my oil pressure needle doesn't move at all. Would it be a loose wire somewhere or maybe there is something wrong with my car? Any input would be great. Thanks

Probably the wire is not connected to the sending unit.

Probably hanging quite near the sending unit which is just below the oil filter.

Nah, it was about a guy almost wrecking his car into a chevy/gmc and spinning out. All the sudden he had no oil pressure.

Well, to be pedantic- he had oil pressure, he just couldn't tell what it was.
There's a difference.

as clokker said, its just under the oil filter. Its a dome shape with a spade connector on the very top of it.

You have no oil pressure whatso ever or is it only during startup.

the wire is yellow/red
It comes from the instrument panel to the pressure sensor.

Wow, what the hell Andy? Dude...go outside...pop your hood...lean in over the driver side of the motor and look underneath the oil filter. It's an ugly goldish mushroom sending unit with a small plastic clip on a yellow wire. If the clip is not connected, BAM! you have your problem. If it is still connected, you could have a bad sender. No bother because it takes all of thirty seconds to replace it.

Just go do it. Cold my ***. I've been on my back in an inch of water in near freezing temperatures while raining working on my car...

Heh, I'm aware. But you see, I have parents who have a garage full of furniture and useless crap instead of empty space so it can be used for what it was designed to be... A workspace. You gotta do what you gotta do.
