how much should a turbo 2 hood cost ? does anyone have one for sale in ontario ? and how much weight do you think wold be saved over the stock steel hood ?

 

You should check the classified & regional classified section. They very in price quite a bit. I've picked some up for free and paid around $100 for another. They seem to go between $50-$200 (USD).

 

I've seen them go for anywhere from free to $300. As far as steel vs aluminum goes, the steel hood weighs around 50 lbs and the aluminum is about 35 lbs. And not all TII hoods are aluminum, but I think most are, there are aluminum n/a hoods too.

 

thanks everybody , i was just asking because some guy wanted to sell it for 400 bucks and it needs to be re painted because its peeling. i just thought it was really steep for the condition and i was just asking for everybodys opinion on turbo 2 hoods.

Haha thats way to much, i seen them go for anywhere from 150-300 based on the condition of it. But yes 400 in my opinion is to much!

also he said it only fits 87 - 89 is this true ? i thought they were universal on all fc rx7's

 

Yes they are universal.

 

Considering that 87-89 is not even a series I would say he's a dumbass and never talk to him again
