Oil pan -- an idea

Why dont oil pans come with heatsinks? Wouldnt it help dissipate heat from the oil? And it wouldnt cost much either. It would be rather simple, in fact.

Porsche 944's have a heatsing molded along with the oil pan.

We've allready got oil cooler's. the motor would be hard pressed to cool it even more. And every oil has a certain "operating temp" if it's raised or lowerd and viscosity of the oil will change. which will lead to compression problems and/or strange running engine

I'm not flameing or bashing you Fingers. It's just what i know

no, it would be a great idea. You know what else. the first gen's. if i can recall correctly had a heatsink around the oil filter it self. i wonder if that could be adapted on a 13b engine. Oil filter heatsink + oil cooler + Oil pan Heatsink. yeah, it could/would work. if you could find a way to attach/mold a heatsink onto our oil pans

I have a box (big box) of Pentium Pro heatsinks. I'll sell them to you. You could tape them on your hood.
