oil pan..

oil pan..

i believe the oil pan is leaking on the rx7 i want to buy. im looking at mazdatrix, and they have two options listed, without sub zero start assistance, and with. how could i tell which i would need. its a 1990 gxl

now that i think about it. im dumb most likely.. im not in california. so i would assume go for the one that says federal. and not california....

Are you sure it's the oil pan that's bad and not just the gasket or something? how was it sealed?

Don't ever buy a new oil pan. You can find oil pans in great shape for just a few dollars in the 2nd gen for sale section. Someone might even give you one if you pay shipping.

But first, get under the car and remove the under tray. Where is the leak coming from?

im not sure for all honesty. when i went and looked at the car my friend said he saw it drip from the pan. and then i saw there was some oil on the driveway. so idk. i just hate fluid leaks..

i think i love it. =] it needs my touch and itll be nice =] i plan to paint it black and get rid of all the rust for start. but its so nice cuz it has all of the interior. unlike my 87. idk i just missed havin a rotary in my driveway.. =[

i like them. they are like brand new. very very unused. except driver seat has that wonderful wear spot everyone gets.
