Oil Metering Lines???

so i think they're my oil metering lines, near the primary injectors, well anyways they broke because they were so brittle from the heat... so i put a piece of rubber hose in place of the break, am i getting sufficient oil to the rotors??? are these lines i speak of even the oil metering lines???

lol, you're in the same Cali as me...right? It should only be 2. If you take pics tomorrow that will really help. I think I know the area you are talking about, but I don't like giving out half-assed advice.

BTW, are we talking about an FC or FD. I'm assuming an FC by your pic. The FD is a little dif, which that is why I wanted pics to confirm. You might be able to get away with those hoses, but that's a huge risk. Why not go OEM? You could just start pre-mix, but that's a bitch...

Mazdatrix should have them, RB might, RX7store might have some too. I would just look around in the For Sale/Classifieds. You usually find the best deal there.

No problem man, I'm sure there are some uber FC guys around here somewhere. I'm an FD dude, so that's usually what I stick to.

dude, i have a full set i will sell you. ive got a post in the for sale section.
anyway, i dont think that the vaccum hose would do the trick. best bet is to replace the whole line that you broke. like i said, ive got the set, pm me if you want them.

The rubber hose you spliced them back together with will swell up and leak withing a month.

In the archeives of the second generation forum, there is a thread on how to replace those lines and at a cost much cheaper than stock/Mazdatrix.

^ +1. I used this method and it works great for under $30. This method also uses teflon line instead of the factory nylon(I think). Ive had mine on for about a year and theyre as plyable as ever.
