First thing. Have you checked your oil level?

If that's good, there is a chance the sensor may be going bad.

the reason it only comes on when turning one direction is because the sensor is only on one side. Oil is a liquid so it sloshes.

I road race my vert and i have only had it come on one time when i was pulling a 1.15 G turn and the oil sloshed so bad that the oil light came on once and buzzed at me. That is an extreme situation though that i bet a lot of you havent experienced, my oil was even full! haha

Remember trouble shoot before you post. Somethings can be solved as simple as checking some fluids.

Come to the forum after you can't figure it out on your own, and even then search before posting.

Check level and add oil... and stop running on NASCAR tracks to avoid left turns?

when I'm about half a quart low and take a semi-hard turn (I forget which direction) my buzzer and light come on for half a second... Probably what the OP has.

I've had mine go off when it was full during an autocross on this one right hand section of the course every time I went through it. Sloshed to the left just enough to make it go off.

Since I re-read his next post and saw that he changed it to right hand turns... I standby my original answer.

Normally a correctly working oil level sensor, the add oil light comes on at 2 quarts low from full on the FC.

But regardless of that... if you are lame enough not to check the oil at each fill up, then you probably shouldn't be owning a rotary powered car.

Here I was thinking about the sensor going...but yes, open the hood before you starve the thing of oil and it makes you pay big time (deservedly).

the oil level sensor is in the left side of the pan, when taking left turns gravity pushes oil to the right side of the pan... sad days when you have to explain why you need to check your oil when a light turns on telling you to check your oil..

You know the rotary consumes oil slowly by design right? It needs to be checked regularly. You should also check for oil leaks, as you've lost more oil that I'd expect in a month.

The Rotary engine consumes about 1 litre per 1000 miles..so I think you were down at least 2 and 1/2 quarts...BUZZ!
