oil leaking...

ok, i got a clutch/flywheel job done. then BAM oil leaks start popping up. i leave it idling and get under the car and now see oil running down the drivers side. ok cool, i figure its the oil rings under the oil filter. i buy those new and replace them. im thinking its fixed. oil still running down the same area. i take off the oil pressure unit off my 88TII (project) and put it in. mind you i never had a leak with that one. i install it and i got it to stop leaking =) NOW the passenger side is leaking. cant tell if its running down the side or coming from the oil pan gastket just yet. i will look some more today. has anyone ever had their omp oil injectors leak badly? would this leak from the omp inj. run down the side and drip off the pan and cause a steady drip while the car is on and idling?

Chances are it's the oil-pan (I've got a similar leak in the same area) Even with broken oil injector lines mine never leaked that much.

ok, ok...

i ran the car and got under it and STILL the oil is running down the drivers side right around the oil filter. its running along the side of the tranny and down to the oil pan. then is drip...drip...drip....drip (very steady) while the car is running. i changed the filter o-rings and replaced the oil pressure sending unit (got that ****** in there tight to) but oil is still leaking (dont know from where). WTF! i got the tranny drop (for clutch job) and replaced the rear main seal too. today i will shoot the whole rear drivers side of the engine with degreaser and clean her up real good. then run it again and watch to see if i can spot this mysterious leak. I HATE OIL LEAKS! anyone having this same problem? i could sure use a lil help in trying to fix this.

i already tackled that area on mine

take off your oil filter you can feel two 10mm nuts under where the filter rests. take those off with a small open end wrench. the side towards the front you can get to with a small rachet. once you got it off there are 2 lil rubber o rings. replace those with new ones. get em from your local mazda dealer. about $5 each. thats all to it. if ti still leaks after that then it might be your oil pressure sender.
