I have the same problem at 60MPH.

I think it would either be the driveshaft is unbalanced or I need an alignment :O

Its obvioiusly not 1sxy's problem, but shaking can also be caused by bad tires. When I bought my car it had a constant bad vibration above 60 or so. The previous owner had been told it was a worn shock, but it turned out that the cheap-*** used tires he had on the front were actually starting to seperate. Just another thing to check before you start throwing money at stuff.

I have the same problem from about 65 up. The only difference is that mine vibrates pretty bad sometimes, but it'll vibrate hard, smooth out for a second, vibrate, smooth, vibrate smooth, and such.

If all that other stuff checks out, take a peek at your transmission mounts and engine mounts. Mine (trans) where shot and the car vibrated at various speeds, It had more to do with RPm that speed though... Just something to check.

BTW it is in the FSM and haynes manual, and if you need parts try mazdatrix...

check you wheel bearings aswell

mine does the same thing - and i have no idea where to start

had the alignment done - that didnt work - all the wheels balanced - and it still didnt work

the only thing different - is that mine pulls to one side aswell

damn these cars are quirky
