oil leak

my oil outlet hose just sprung a leak today. i need a quick fix to get over to a friends house to replace the hose, and i suppose i'm trolling for suggestions.

also, i was wondering if keeping the oil bypass valve open would help at all? unfortunately, i think the way it works is the oil comes through the inlet hose to the cooler, either bypasses the cooler or goes through the cooler depending on the position of the valve, and then exits through the outlet hose, so messing with the valve wouldn't change anything at all.

anyway, let me know.

thanks,
patrick

You're looking at over 100 psi in that hose... only thing to do is replace it.

Changing the valve would not help.

Yep, you're also correct in the route the oil takes
