o2 sensor

Finally checked my error codes... got one long light, and pause, and repeat....
This was narrowed down to the O2 sensor. I called Canadian Tire and they have the OEM o2 sensor for $81.32. WTF!!! that's ridiculous. Anyone know any cheaper place? Perhaps online? I'm up in Ottawa, Ontario. Thanks

Considering universal ones cost $38, and in US, you can get universal ones for $20, i think i reserve the right to bitch. I don't even bother calling dealerships, their sole purpose of existance is to rip people off. I'm talking aftermarket OEM sensors.

You get what you paid for. THat's all I have to say. Factory parts might be more expensive, but they fit and most of the time works the best. As for the o2 sensor, i use the bosch universal ones from autozone. THey are 18.99 i believed

Man, your best bet is the botch one because they work the best and are a direct fit. Mine just sat right in, got an o2 wratchet and screwed it down. You can make the o2 wratchet yourself or what not but whatever you find necissary

Get a Bosch from Pepboys. You might have to crimp on a connector on its wire to fit your original factory harness. Cost of about fifty cents. Twenty to twenty five bucks for the Bosch.

You can use the Bosch Universal ones with no problem. The only dis-advantage is that you have to splice the old electrical connector to the wire on the unversal O2 sensor ( no big deal).

Bosch does make an OEM replacement O2 Sensor complete with the correct connector and everything now. They sell them down here in Florida at AutoZone stores for $35.99 (US). I've been running with it for about 8 months now with no problems.

I would think that you should be able to find them up there for close to the same price. I'd keep calling around. If you can't find it locally you can order it online from www.autozone.com

Well i did the O2 sensor... replaced it with a universal one... seems to work perfectly... it was a bitch because the wire is REALLY hard to get at... things get increasingly difficult when you dont have an 02 sensor tool. but i managed to get it done.
Thanks guys
