is this normal????

When im coasting down at about 40-50 and push the clutch in the tranny has a block to get into first
if u push it into it it rattles the syncros but if u wait till ur slowed down it goes in fine. Is that normal??

Generally it feels like there is a "wall" before shifting into 1st gear with a standard tranny. My Jeep, my Toyota 4Runner, and the 7 are all like that.

you are pushing against the syncos i would double clutch my old turbo 12A box to get into first without a grind.

umm... don't go into first at 40-50mph. Yes its normal for it to be hard to get into first at any speed above 15-20 or so.
