Hey yall.
i was thinking of purchasing this 6a msd ignition switch with coil. i just wanted to know if it is really worth it.
i currently have s4 stock with straight pipe. i know they give better and spark. i just want to increase the efficiency of the motor.
any info on this would be great. couldn't find much when i searched.
it comes with coil that i know but im thinking i would need another one in order for it to be effective no?

he is right
But you can just use it to run the leading only since the leading is basically the main plugs.
It will not give you better performance if slightly, maybe a little bit better gas mileage.
One main thing I noticed is that the idle is just more smoother.
The one in the pics looks like its already wired into the leading coil.
Some say its a waste of money and money better spent on something else, especially if the engine isnt seeing 300hp+
You usually run a ignition box if you see ignition break ups at high rpm on high horsepower cars.

I am a huge advocate for the use of the MSD box in RX-7's. Don't worry about not having 2 more to fire the trailing coils. I have used these for over 10 years now and love them.

I've had an MSD 6AL hooked to my Leading only.,Pretty well since I started Modding the car.(6 Years).
I just switched to a Jacobs FC1000.(same thing,just a different look,Blingie!)
I find that the car will start up easier and If you flood it can "deflood quicker".
you get about 15 mpg more per tank.(N/A)..It pays for itself over a year.

how does that work? i mean. in the pictures shown i see that the box fires one coil that has two inserts for the plug wires no? so i would only assume that a second msd box with similar coil for two more plug wires. (please correct me if i am way off base) what would the 3rd box be used for?
reason asking is because i am trying to buy deals on parts i find of the things i read about on here so im more prepared when the swap comes in.

An msd box only fires from one signal. Since the leading is waste spark it is ok to use box to fire one pair of coils. The trailing is not and would need a box and separate coil for each plug.
