If you still have your cat's, I would be careful how much premix you run..... Maybe substitute 2cycle oil for MMO (marvel mystery oil), or maybe a mixture of both in small amounts. If you flood your system with premix, it will lead to premature cat failure.

Change the oil every 3k... keep it fueled.... and drive it like you stole it. You do have to take into consideration that this thing injects oil directly into the combustion chamber.. so, using a low-ash oil in your crank case is probably a good idea, I suggest havoline SAE or castrol GTX. Its recommended to not use synthetic at all because they will leave a residue behind when burnt.

Check my sig for a lot of information on these cars.... but there is a lot of info out there.

you can run synthetic... run a search on synthetic oils some are good, some arnt.

If your going to run pre-mix as well as the OMP you need to have a carefull amount of premix... and that still wouldnt help you determin where the oil is burning from.

Aside from what everybody says, just do the regular checkup on your car. see how it runs for a month, if you see issues, treat them as they come up. if it aint broke, dont fix it.... yet..

I'm sorry, but "don't run synthetic" is good advice to give somebody just starting out. Don't bother him with details.. just let him enjoy is damn car.
