Non abs to abs knuckles

Recently picked up a used set of villains modified knuckles, however they're for a ABS car and my car is not an ABS car. Been searching high and low for ABS brake caliper brackets but can't find a set. So I'm wondering, anyone just cut off the ABS bracket?

I swear i can see in the casting the shape of the non abs knuckle, I figure if I cut the abs ear off and clean it up with a dremel it should be good to go without compromising structural integrity of the knuckle.

Has anyone else done this?

It only holds the wheel speed sensor, no ABS just don't install a sensor and leave it alone. I'd honestly be more worried about the modified aspect of that knuckle. Maybe it's just dirty, but that shortened portion for the tie rod mount doesn't look welded all that properly.

My problem is the caliper bracket i have doesn't fit because the speed sensor casting on the knuckle is In the way. Which is why I'm asking about cutting it off.

the knuckles are just dirty as hell from being in storage for so long. I inspected the welds and they have good penetration into the metal all the way around

In that case, I would cut it off. Shouldn't be any structural issues, like you said you can pretty much see the original casting lines.

Well with some careful surgery with a grinder and dremel, i clearance'd the knuckles just enough to fit my caliper brackets on. Another step closer to having the brakes 100% rebuilt and done.
