No window Switch Please Help!!!!

No window Switch Please Help!!!!

Well both windows switched have broken and my passenger window is still down, and neither of the switched are usable. I cant seem to find a replacement either. Is there a way to manually let my window up? Pleas help. I have an S5VErt

You could jumper the wires to make the windows roll up as long as the motors still work.

umm....that looks greeek to me, but I found a post that said connect a 12v battery to the prongs on the connector going to the window motor, but i'm not sure exactly where it is

That's what you would be doing when you jumper the wires at the switch. Whether it's the car battery or a separate 12v battery it's the same thing, all your doing is bypassing the switch. The wires would be on the inside of the door panel, just find the window switch and there you go.

This will only help if the switch is actually bad and not the motor itself.

the process to manually put the windows up/down is in the FSM. i believe to put them up you put 12v on the horizontal spade connector on the plug, and ground the vertical connector. could be the other way around, but its in the FSM (body - electrical section). it is very easy.

Well, the motors work, its just the switched are in peices. so i connect the battery to the plug that went to the window switch right?

no, connect it to the 2 prong plug connected to the window motor. its under the door panel.

I'm sure you can get a switch, I just put up a post the other day for the same thing and three people offered to sell me the switch.

have you tried taking the switches apart??? I had/ have the same problem, and have to take a wire brush or sand paper to the contacts on the inside of the switch assemblies. It always works. Everytime.

correct, and if it goes up, switch the wires on the battery (reverse polarity) and it should go down, or the other way around, depending on which way u want it to go
