no timing marks on main pulley

no timing marks on main pulley
i just rebuilt my na 13b and i’m having issues with timing. i found one notch on the pulley but it has lots of surface rust so i can’t find any marks on it. is there a way to set time without those marks or do i need a new pulley?

there should be little notches on the pulley, you might take it off and find them, and paint it (or mark it) and put the pulley back.
plan B is that the Grooves for the Woodruff keys are cut so that they will be facing the right hand side of the engine (if you're staring at the front of the engine its 9 o clock). so you can find TDC that way
