Question Timing Marks on My Pulley

Hola,
I noticed last night when I went to set my timing that my Pulley has 4 timing notches in it...My engine is a 79' so that might have something to do with it...But what do they represent?...Are they 5 or 10 degrees apart?

Is the first mark (left to right) TDC?

I also found out that I had no Trailing Spark --Got that fixed...

I plan on setting the timing at 24L 16T Per the Yaw-Master...

Thanks for any feedback you guys can give me...

If you got 4 marks on your pulley, then you have a Racing Beat Pulley, check there website

www.racingbeat.com

EVERY 12A or 13B pulley I ever seen has 2 marks, the pulley turns clockwise and the first mark you come to is leading

I wish I had a RB pulley, It's just a Stocker...I was told that the 79's had a different pulley, but he didnt know what each mark represented...Neither did my manual...

Thanks for the feedback though..

How far apart are these marks on the pulley? Do they look like original marks or added after?

They are about .37 inches apart (measured with a caliper) and are from the factory...My car is an EARLY 79' if that has anything to do with it...It was delivered in April of 78...

Search around a bit on here and mazspeed before you decide on that Yaw timing... you might find some interesting tales.

For me (Dellorto48, RB exhaust, e-fan) I didn't like that timing at all. I actually gave it a second chance the other day, and wasn't impressed. Although I do still have stock ignition, I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Anyways... just recommending a little research on the subject.

I'm betting that someone marked that pulley at some point. It seems unlikely, to me anyways, that a factory pulley would be marked with 4 notches. I think on my 82, TDC is marked yellow and 20 degrees ATDC is marked orange. Maybe you can check the timing now (assuming it is set properly) to see which is TDC? Otherwise I would be calling Racing Beat to find out which is which.
