no start

searched and the FAQ has nothing like i am experiencing. I try to start the car and nothing happens(no voltage to solenoid, tested for that), but after about five seconds it starts beeping. It constantly beeps. No pauses. Heres a little info on the car: 87N/A, new engine/wiring harness(pulsation fire), starter, ecu(same number as original), starter relay and wiring, circuit opening relay. I have gutted the car completely, less dash, gauges and switches, seats. No heat/ac power steering, steering cpu disconnected. The dummy lights do not come on any time during an attempted start but the ebrake light is on(should be). I can jump the solenoid wire and it turns over. I assume the beeping has something to do with the no start condition. Anyone have any ideas?
thanks,
Kane

did it used to work (like last week)? or is this the first time you have tryed with the new motor and everything else riped out?

the dummy lights should all come one when you stick the keys in and turn to on

update: found some wires unplugged on the passenger side kick panel. hooked them up and the beeps are gone. now i have noticed when i turn the to on position the gauges arent working. not even the gas guage and i know it has a full tank. the lights work but not the guages. I turn the key to start and all i get is a single click from under the hood. I cant tell where it is coming from though. It is almost like the ecu isnt there but everything i can find that has to do with it is plugged in except heat/ac and power steering. Seems like some fuses may be missing under the dash. gonna search for that. any other ideas?

forgot to add the sunroof and windows dont work. some more dummy lights came on. i now have ebrake, fuel, door ajar, and hatch but all of them still dont come on.

If you have a Starter Relay.....then it follows that you have Theft Protection. Is it plugged in???? Unplug it if it is.

No starter relay equals a car without Theft Protection.

it has a starter relay but has no theft deterent. the theft det. control unit was missing when i got the car. Is there any other relays that may power the ecu that i have missed. I have put on a new circuit opening relay.
do you mean unplug the theft cpu or the relay itself?

recheck every UNDER hood fuse, Recheck every wire, and make sure the wire that plugs into the transmission that tells the car its in netural is hooked up.
