no spark

buddy on mine just bought an 87 and he cant get any spark, the motor tuns over fine and everything seems to be right but its not getting any spark, could it just be the coil pack or could it be somthing that we are not aware of, the guy he bought it off of said it just quit on him one day and he didnt feel like messing with it. any imput would help

check to see if the main relay clicks. mine wasnt, found out the ground to it had been "cut", ran a new ground, and poof, now i have spark.

What the previous post said, check the relay, fuses. Also I don't know if this is your first 7, but the engine will most likely be flooded after trying to start it so many times like this if you didn't disconnect the egi fuse, so you will have to look into unflooding it.

forgot to mention, once you can get power going through the ignition coils, make sure the spark plugs are not fouled out...
