no spark?

Unhappy no spark?

what can cause both coils to go out and not work?? i got gas,compression, and im not getting spark when i try to take out a plug and bring it close to metal. neither coil packs works. so how can i trace that??

First, do a fuse check. Check the EGI COMP and EGI INJ fuses under the hood. Then check the top row middle fuse (7.5 amp) in the fusebox. Also check the next row down, second from left (15 amp). If all fuses are good, check the black/yellow stripe wire going to any ignitor for 12V. If no 12V, it is either the main relay or ignition switch. If it is ok, the ECU must fire it. Check 3i and 3j pins for 12V, ignition on. If not there, main relay is probable cause. If ok, check to be sure the CAS is properly connected. If it is, the CAS or the ECU is defective. Hope this gets you in the area of the failure.
