No fuel... :(

I have an 88 rx7 non-turbo. I blew the orginal motor and bought another to put in the car. I installed the new motor. It wont start but i took it out of a running car. I have spark and fuel pressure. One thing i noticed on this motor is the mount to the air bypass valve on the drivers side of the new motor is different than my old motor. I have fuel up to the pressure regulator on the secondary injector rail. So i thought maybe the regulator died. Got a new one. No luck. It wont feed into the rail. Does it not feed into this rail to start or only after 3500RPM? I can keep the car running if someone keeps spraying starting fluid into the intake. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

do you have the Fuel connected to the engine correctly?
From Filter to Primary..through to secondary rail,..and out to the Return line on the firewall.

Sorry to tell this to the tread owner............the LAST thing to get fuel is the FPR (FROM the SECONDARY FUEL RAIL). The line out of the FPR goes to the TANK on the RETURN line. Talking 1986-87 non turbo. The FPR is on the FRONT of the secondary fuel rail.

This means most likely the fuel hoses are attached *** backwards at the engine.

Just another post much like Misterstyx69 above.

I tried switching fuel lines just to check that and it still wouldnt work. Ill rip the intake off and check the primary rail this week. the only lines i disconnected during the swap were near the firewall.
