NC Flooding problem no threads help.

Let me jump on in

1987 RX7 FC non turbo...

Problem: Continues to flood

I have never had a flooding problem with this vehicle... It started two weeks ago and I think due to human error... (well sure of it)...

I was flushing out my coolant system... I used a peak flush cleaner and fallowed the directions and the Haynes manual directions... All seemed well until I drove it for about a minute or so... then it started to bog down like perhaps i got some electrical wet.... Soon my engine was flooded, you could smell a mix of coolant and fuel...

The next day I switched out all my plugs. made sure I let the fuel blow out b4 I put my new plugs in... And then after a few cranks unflooding it... Wala it started!

but apparently the problem wasn't solved... it still bogged a little when ever gas was pressed even after full operating temperatures...

It was obviously flooding again... apparently black smoke was coming out and the smell of fuel...

A week later when I was able to go back to my car... I started it again... this time it ran perfectly fine! no hesitation or anything... I let it warm up and about 10 mins later... it started to act up again...

problem not solved...

today I changed the oil... checked for spark on all plugs and wires... made sure they were clean blew it out again... yet it continues to flood...

any suggestions?

It is hard to say, but my first assumption is you simply spilled coolant on something. It will take forever to dry and will foul electrical connectors. Specifically, check the area of the CAS.

Maybe wash the engine bay and then blow everything thoroughly dry with air.

perhaps my air flow wires are screwed... we slightly disconnected it while it was running and it started to smooth, then again it cut off before I had the chance to rev it some... now even with it connected it wont start up.. sounds flooded again but not matter the process this time it wont unflood...

thanks, any one else got anything for me to check out?
